OVERVIEW
The Intermediate Level – Financial Modeling course builds upon fundamental financial modeling concepts by introducing more advanced techniques for financial analysis and decision-making. It begins with an overview of intermediate financial modeling, distinguishing it from the basic level and emphasizing the need for more complex models in business forecasting and valuation.
Participants will explore advanced projection techniques, including sales growth projections, expense forecasting using indexation, and working capital adjustments to enhance financial model accuracy. The course also covers sensitivity analysis, teaching how to conduct “what-if” scenarios and utilize data tables to assess the impact of different assumptions on financial outcomes.
A key component of the training is company valuation, where participants will learn the Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) method, determine the Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC), and project cash flows for valuation purposes. Finally, the course introduces dynamic reporting, focusing on creating interactive dashboards and using pivot tables and charts to visualize and analyze financial data effectively. By the end of the program, participants will be equipped with the skills necessary to build robust, data-driven financial models for strategic decision-making.
